Master Miao Jing and Master Miao Yin guide and lead the children to memorize and understand the universal teachings of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, the “Lotus Sutra of the Universal Gate”. Among them, the ten verses of the Bodhisattva Immeasurable Mind, which are familiar in Buddhist Sutra, have a total of 200 words. The teaching sessions are expected to be two semesters. Reciting the Buddha’s scriptures can inspire children’s inherent Buddha-nature, and reciting the “Guan Yin Bodhisattva Universal Gate Chapter” not only allows children to understand the great mercy and compassion of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, but also develops children’s inherent compassion and self-nature. Every word and every verse will enter the children’s Eight Fields of Consciousness, and could benefit the children not just in this life, but the lives after. In addition, they would also receive the blessings of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.
Meditation, scripture recitation, moral and discipline education are the main focus of this meditation class. We will guide children to learn from Sutra and understand the connotation of Chinese characters, and will also train children’s thinking and awareness through interesting video and audio to coach them meditation , emotional management and moral character, etc., so that they can gradually develop their pure wisdom from a variety of learning and activities, and then inspire their potential to understand the meaning and value of life.
“Universal Doors Chapter” was declared by Buddha Shakyamuni when he personally ascended the Duobao Stupa, and it is a Buddhist classic with an incomparably powerful inheritance. When reciting the verses of “Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva’s Universal Doors”, the endless compassion and boundless vows of compassion for all sentient beings will gradually arise just like Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. When praying devoutly or reciting the name of Guan Yin Bodhisattva sincerely, you will naturally be in touch with the Bodhisattva’s compassionate heart and aspirations, and thus receive the Bodhisattva’s compassion, blessing and protection, and more importantly, planting the right cause for liberation and ultimate Buddhahood for the future.
Master Miao Jing and Master Miao Yin wish that the children will continue to learn and develop kindness from an early age, learn the development of bodhicitta and good deeds. In addition to obtaining the blessings of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, in addition to their own well-being, they will be able to become self-benefiting and altruistic people in the future, who are the pillar of society and the clear stream of Buddhism.
